Birthday cupcake time!!!

Praying before snack time...I know I was being a bad example by taking pics during prayer, but how often do you get the opportunity to forever capture the image of your daughter visiting with her Father?

There's a little girl in Alyssa's class who is VERY allergic to peanuts and peanut products. She isn't able to ever eat anything for a snack at school that is store bought such as cupcakes. So, I bought a mix and frosting, double checked all the labels and made cupcakes instead of buying them so that Mackenzie, one of Alyssa's favorite friends, could have one, too. Please notice in the picture below that Alyssa picked a store bought cupcake that another mom brought...not the homemade ones she so sweetly helped me make!

There were 3 different games set up for all of the kids to play...a bean bag toss, an obstacle course, and a letter walk (think cake walk, but teaching letters).

They also had so much fun doing the Hokey Pokey!!! Put your left foot in...

...and turn yourself about

...that's what it's all about!!! Blakely loved watching all of the big kids play games, sing and dance. We went to the music room a little later, sang songs and rang bells. Alyssa made sure that her sissy had her own bells to ring too! Blakely had SO much fun!!!

All of the birthday kids gathered in the middle of the circle for the Happy Birthday song. None of them seemed too sure about being the center of all of that attention.
