4 months...

Blakely turned 4 months last week. Our well-child appointment wasn't until a couple of days ago, so I waited to post her monthly update. The doctor says she looks perfect. She is 14 lbs. 5 oz. (75th percentile) and 26 1/2 inches long (97th percentile!!!) No wonder all of her 3-6 month clothes are getting too short!! The doctor also said that she is way ahead on the milestones...she can roll both ways and is pushing up on her hands until her chest is off of the floor. Didn't surprise me that she's ahead...Alyssa was too...guess we just have super smart kids!! Some of the fun things that she's doing...

*Blakely has discovered her voice...all octaves of it! She squeals and squeals...usually pretty cute until it goes on for 30 minutes!
*As I posted earlier, she LOVES her exersaucer! She plays and plays in it...squealing w/ glee, of course...usually only wants out if it's nap time or she's hungry!
*Loves to laugh and smile and talk with us & she's still VERY cuddly...loves to be held
*She still loves to sit up or stand and bounce in our laps
*She has started reaching for and successfully grabbing toys or whatever is in reach...and puts it straight into her mouth
*Has also discovered our faces...it is the sweetest thing to be looking into her eyes as she reaches to touch our cheeks or mouths or noses or whatever she's trying to get a grip on...
*Still non-stop wiggling. You can bet that if she's awake, most parts of her body are in motion!
*She's still exclusively nursing about every 3 hours, except at night. She will either get up once to nurse around 3 or 4 am or she'll sleep through the night and wake up for the day at around 6:30am. We haven't started cereal yet, but we will probably try that around 5 months or so.


Blakely - we are so in love with you...I feel like I am missing so much b/c you are growing so fast! I can't wait to spend this 1st holiday season with you! We love you sweetie!!
